Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving in Milwaukee this year with some of our good friends. We missed being home with our families, but enjoyed the good food and company in Wisconsin.

The guys were so excited to have some time to watch football.

This is how much Dev enjoyed her leftovers the rest of the weekend.
We were so glad that Colb had off the rest of the weekend. Dev and I didn't let him out of our sight. Dev didn't let him out of her reach even when she was asleep.
We (mostly Colb) also started a project for Dev for Christmas. We are making her a little kitchen. Colb is doing such a good job, and it has been so much fun!
We also followed tradition and set-up the Christmas tree. We debated not putting it up this year since we have such a big helper at our house this year. However, we put ornaments only on the top half and she loves it and hasn't bothered it at all.

'Tis the Season

We are so excited the holidays are here! We started off the holiday season with a wonderful Thanksgiving with our friends in Wisconsin (blog post to come). Colb had the whole weekend off, so Dev and I were in heaven!

Fall Festivities

Fall continues to be wonderful! A few weeks ago we went to a corn maze. It was the same corn maze that we visited last year. However, the corn was much shorter due to the drought earlier this year. I pulled out our corn maze picture from last year and am amazed at how fast the year has been and how much Dev has grown up.
This year vs. last year

We also celebrated Halloween at the ward Trunk-or-Treat, MCW trick-or-treat, playgroup, and our annual dinner-in-a-pumpkin (for three years running) with the Gessels. The trunk-or-treat was really cold so Dev wasn't too into it, but she figured things out quickly at the school and was really excited. She loved carrying her kitty (mee mee) bag around and would stop to deposit her treat into her bag each time and return it to her elbow. I wish I had a picture of it! She was the cutest little zebra! She has also developed a little sweet tooth, so thankfully the candy is almost gone.
