Fun at the Park

The weather in Milwaukee has been beautiful the last couple weeks, so Dev and I have been spending some of our afternoons at various parks with friends. Dev loves the swings and the slides. She also spends lots of time playing in the bark and looking for sticks and rocks. She loves Ring Around the Rosies and sings the ashes part over and over.

Four Years of Forever

Today is our four year wedding anniversary! Wow! However, we have had so many adventures in the last four years that sometimes it is hard to believe that it has only been four years. We've lived in Salt Lake and Milwaukee (three different apartments). Colb graduated with his bachelor's degree and is now in his third year of medical school. I graduated with my master's degree, became a CPA, and worked for a few years. We've added another member to our family and have the cutest 15-month-old ever. We've had lots of callings, made many new friends, ran a lot of miles, sent many texts, made many purchases, snuggled during lots of movies, shared many meals, sang to tons of songs, and laughed a lot. I'm so thankful to have had my best friend by my side for the last four years of our forever. Love you Colb!

And...Happy Birthday Grandma Shela! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks! Love ya!

Crash and Burn

Last night Dev really wanted to play outside so we all went on a walk. However, she did more running than walking. We had a little crash and her face met pavement! Nothing too serious, but bruises and scratches are becoming a lot more common than I would like with this girl. She is so busy climbing, jumping, running, dancing, and moving!

Nauvoo the Beautiful (and the hot!)

In June we visited Nauvoo with our friends the Gessels. It is just over a five hour drive from Milwaukee so we really wanted to go while we are close. Colb had been before, but it was my first time so I was really excited. We went the one weekend we had at home before Colby started rotations. It was a quick trip and the heat and humidity were on the verge of unbearable, but we got to see the sights and do a temple session so it was definitely worth it!

Drink, please?

Carthage is only 20-30 minutes away, so since I hadn't been there Colb and I got up early Saturday morning and made a quick trip. It was one of my favorite parts.

This is a neat picture taken through the bullet hole in the door at Carthage Jail where Joseph Smith was killed.

We did a babysitting swap so we could all get a temple session in. These two kept us moving and multiple people asked if they were twins.
